Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
Contract: Temporary (2–3 months initially, with potential to be extended)

Pertemps are currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in Rainham (RM13) for an experienced Administration Assistant to join a busy and fast-paced import freight office.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy office environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in an administrative role and enjoys working within logistics or freight operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling incoming emails and telephone enquiries

  • Performing accurate data entry and maintaining records

  • Supporting the operations team with general administrative tasks

  • Managing documentation relating to import freight

  • Using Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel, to update and track data

  • Maintaining organised filing systems and ensuring records are up to date

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in an administrative role (ideally within logistics or freight, but not essential)

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with a particular focus on Excel

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy office environment

  • Confident handling emails and telephone queries
