Our client, a highly respected manufacturer of advanced scientific equipment, is seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join their growing production team.

Working within a precision engineering environment, you will be responsible for producing high quality TIG welds on a variety of aluminium and stainless steel components used in specialist scientific systems.

Responsibilities

• TIG welding of aluminium and stainless steel components
• Working from engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Fabricating and assembling precision metalwork to a high standard
• Inspecting finished welds to ensure quality requirements are met
• Supporting manufacturing and assembly activities as required
• Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
• Collaborating with engineers, machinists and production staff

Requirements

• Proven TIG welding experience with aluminium and stainless steel
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience working within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

• Experience welding thin gauge materials
• Fabrication and sheet metal experience
• Previous experience within scientific, aerospace, defence, vacuum or high technology manufacturing environments
• Relevant welding qualifications
