Assembly Technician

Kinetic Industrial are currently looking to recruit an Assembly Technician for one of our clients based in Leicester. This position is temporary and an excellent opportunity to join our client - who is a multinational company and market leader in their field. The position offers substantial training, a great place to work and there may also be an opportunity to go permanent after a 12 month period for the right candidate.

The rate of pay is £12.71 per hour and the hours of work are below;
* Monday-Wednesday 0730 - 1630 (2x 15 min & 1x 30 min lunch break)
* Thursday: 0730 - 1600 (2x 15 min & 1x 30 min lunch break)
* Friday: 0730 - 1300 (1x 15 min break)

***NIGHT SHIFT MAY BE AVAILABLE***

We are looking for a candidate who is able to work in a fast-paced production environment with the ability to work as part of a team but also able to work under their own initiative if called upon.

As a Assembly technician you will be responsible for:
* Assembling parts
* Soldering
* Following directions and instructions
* Communicating with customers and vendors
* Carrying out duties within the production line as instructed by line manager.
* Adhering to the companies Health and Safety guidelines.
* Providing total cell commitment and support in the attainment of goals, with respect to safety, quality, cost, delivery, and compliance tasks.
* Working towards lean and continuous improvements in the area.

To be successful within the role as Assembly Technician you will be required to;
* Have good manual dexterity for assembling electro/mechanical components.
* Ideally have soldering experience
* Be able to read and understand Technical drawings & manufacturing documentation.
* Be able to accurately maintain records and have clear, legible handwriting.
* Have good verbal & written communication skills.
* Basic computer skills.
* Be able to multitask and rotate across key processes.
