Bandsaw Operator

• Operate bandsaw machinery safely and efficiently to cut a range of materials to specification.
• Work with material sizes up to 1080mm diameter, ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout the cutting process.
• Cut a variety of exotic alloys and specialist materials in line with production requirements.
• Read and interpret job sheets, drawings and cutting instructions to meet customer and business needs.
• Carry out routine machine checks and basic maintenance to ensure equipment remains in good working order.
• Monitor quality throughout production, ensuring finished cuts meet the required standards and tolerances.
• Handle materials safely and maintain a clean, organised working area at all times.

• Previous experience operating bandsaw machinery within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Confidence working with large diameter materials, ideally up to 1080mm.
• Experience cutting difficult alloys or specialist metals would be highly beneficial.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings, job sheets and work instructions.
• A strong awareness of health and safety and safe material handling practices.
• Good attention to detail with the ability to work accurately to deadlines and quality standards.
• A reliable and proactive approach with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
