1:1 Behaviour Support Assistant
Location: Llanelli
Start Date: September 2026 (Full Academic Year)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:15pm
Pay: £92.63 per day (via Teaching Personnel)
Requirement: Welsh speaker essential

Are you a confident, energetic individual looking to make a real impact in a primary school setting?

We are seeking a 1:1 Behaviour Support Assistant to work full-time in a supportive Llanelli primary school, providing dedicated support to a pupil in Year 2. This role is perfect for someone who can build strong relationships, bring positive energy, and use engaging strategies to support a young learner on a daily basis. ⚽

The Role:
  • Providing 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil throughout the school day
  • Supporting behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulation in the classroom
  • Building a trusting and consistent relationship with the pupil
  • Working closely with the class teacher and ALN staff to implement support strategies
  • Using active, engaging approaches to keep the pupil motivated and focused
Ideal Candidate:

We are particularly interested in candidates with a sporty or active background who can bring structure, enthusiasm, and positivity to the role. Experience in the following would be highly beneficial:

  • Sports coaching
  • PE support
  • Youth work
  • Mentoring or team leadership roles
Key Skills & Attributes:
  • Fluent Welsh speaker (essential) ️
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Ability to build positive relationships with young children
  • Proactive and adaptable mindset
