Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for Business Administrator on a 6 Month Rolling Contract, based in East Anglia.

Role Summary

As a Business Administrator to the External Supplier Quality team, you will be supporting our Small Gas Turbine business and be part of a growing team in a position that entails a large responsibility!

You'll collaborate internally with experienced cross-functional teams to uphold quality standards while fostering strong relationships with our valued global suppliers.

You will be part of a team responsible for assessing and maintaining supplier capabilities across the investment casting, machining and coating supply chain.

The role will manage the end-to-end administration of supplier concessions and supplier change requests to fixed processes, ensuring accurate processing, documentation control recording, and efficient tracking of quality activities across a diverse supplier base.

Your role will help the team to ensure key deliverables are met whilst minimising disruption to engine build line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage supplier concession submissions - Uploading and sanitising supplier submissions for completeness, accuracy, and compliance; coordinate distribution by assigning submissions to the appropriate subject matter experts for timely review and disposition.
  • Quality data reporting — Compile concession performance metrics, defect trends, and produce monthly KPI reports to monitor supplier performance
  • Team coordination — Organise meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and support cross-functional reviews with engineering, procurement, and operations.
  • Corrective action tracking — Monitor CAPA progress, escalate overdue actions, and ensure accurate updates in QMS/ERP systems.
  • Continuous improvement support — Help streamline templates, reporting tools, and administrative processes to improve team efficiency.

Requirements

    • Experience in administration within engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, or quality environments.
    • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in Excel, SharePoint, Power BI and business systems (ERP/QMS).
    • Confident communicator with suppliers and internal technical teams.
    • Ability to work with data, produce reports, and manage multiple priorities.
