Salary: Up to £55,000

A successful Groundworks contractor is looking to appoint a Buyer to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious construction professional who has gained some buying or procurement experience and is looking to accelerate their career within a supportive and established business.

The company is open-minded on background and experience level. They are primarily looking for someone who is commercially aware, proactive, organised, and keen to develop their career within construction procurement.

Key Responsibilities:
• Procuring construction materials and services.
• Obtaining and reviewing supplier quotations.
• Negotiating pricing and delivery schedules.
• Managing supplier relationships.
• Monitoring orders and ensuring timely deliveries.
• Supporting project teams with procurement requirements.
• Assisting with cost-saving initiatives.

Requirements:
• Previous experience in a Buyer, Assistant Buyer, Procurement, Purchasing, or similar role.
• Construction experience preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Good organisational ability and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
