Children’s Residential Support Worker 

Location: Greenford (UB6)
Pay: £13.50p/h + £50 sleep in 
Shift Patterns: 24.5hr | 14hr | 10hr Wake Night

Are you a passionate and experienced support worker looking to make a lasting impact in the lives of vulnerable young people?

We are recruiting dedicated Children’s Residential Support Workers for a warm and supportive 3-bed EBD home in Greenford The home provides care for children and young people aged 7-17 who have experienced extreme disadvantages, including trauma, mental health challenges, neglect, abuse, and placement breakdowns.

 

What You'll Do

  • Provide consistent care and emotional support to children with complex emotional and behavioural needs (EBD)

  • Promote a safe, nurturing environment to help young people thrive

  • Implement care plans and work closely with the wider staff and therapeutic team

  • Support with daily routines, activities, education, and independent living skills

  • Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding practices

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year  experience supporting children or young people with EBD or similar complex needs within a Childrens Home

  • Ideally hold a Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or equivalent (or working towards it)

  • Flexible availability to work a combination of the following shiftsincludign occassional weekends and sleep-ins

  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management, and trauma-informed care

  • Calm, resilient, and compassionate approach to care
