We are looking for a Clinical Advisor to join us on a permanent full-time basis, covering hospitals around the Munster Region.

The Role
At Medstrom, our Clinical Advisors work at the frontline of patient care, supporting hospitals to ensure the right equipment is used effectively, safely, and at the right time. This is a highly rewarding role where you’ll combine clinical knowledge, training and relationship-building to make a real difference.
Taking on this engaging position, you’ll discover that we are dedicated to patient outcomes and are eager to advance clinical environments to achieve this. We work in an advisory capacity and have had huge success in helping patients access the right equipment sooner, improving comfort, mobility, and recovery outcomes.
Working with Trust Tissue Viability, Manual Handling and Therapy staff, you will provide effective training at new and existing customer sites, ensure the appropriate use of equipment, and encourage hospitals to reassess patients to efficiently use specialist equipment.
In this role, you will:
- Work closely with the Harm Free Care team, Tissue Viability, Manual Handling, and trust staff at all levels, both clinical and non-clinical, supporting specific projects, specific patients / patient groups and specific requests
- Support the delivery of services to hospitals within your allocated areas
- Grow rental revenue within your allocated contract(s) by identifying opportunities for new products and services that will benefit patient outcomes
- Promote and support new technologies and encourage use
- Support product evaluations and feedback outcomes
- Ability to comfortably and confidently demonstrate the equipment in the portfolio and explain the key clinical benefits of each product, and calmly handle any objections
- Take a proactive, strategic and creative approach to training supported by a solid communication plan
- Train hospital staff on the equipment from an overview level through to an authorised trainer level with supporting documentation
- Act as a trusted advisor and provide ongoing clinical support
- Ensure the appropriate use of equipment and encourage reassessment of patients, ensuring the most efficient usage of specialist equipment
- Advise and help hospitals define protocols, police the system, and formally provide feedback on outcomes with a proposed action plan to address any issues
- Attend formal monthly meeting with the tissue viability team and manual handling team to review tasks, objectives and timelines
- Plan, coordinate and execute audits as required
- Work closely with the team on the ground for each contract
- Promote the training academy, our webinars and workshops
- Attend staff meetings in Trim, Belfast and the Head Office in the UK
Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday – Friday, some flexibility may be needed.
About You
To be considered as a Clinical Advisor, you will need:
Essential:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) with extensive clinical experience
- Experience of working in wards and within an HSE environment
- Experience of providing clinical training at various levels
- A full, valid Irish driving licence
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to communicate and engage with people at all levels
- An organised individual with the ability to organise their own workload effectively
- The ability to build and maintain solid, trusted relationships
- Working knowledge of MS Office, including Word and Excel
Desirable:
- Previous experience working within a commercial organisation would be advantageous
