Are you an experienced CNC Machinist looking for a new opportunity with a growing Engineering company whose reputation for excellence is second to none? If so, then we would like to hear from you! In this role you will program, set and operate CNC Machinery working to fine tolerances, use CAM software and consistently deliver projects on schedule while upholding exceptional quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program, set, and operate CNC milling machines and lathes to produce high-quality components.
- Manufacture precision-engineered components to tight tolerances from raw material through to final inspection using a variety of metals.
- Conduct detailed quality inspections of finished components, using metrology equipment to ensure finished component conforms with engineering drawings, SOP’s, CAD models, and quality standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process improvements, resolve production issues, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Mentor and provide day to day technical support to Apprentices and junior staff.
- Maintain excellent Health and Safety procedures.
Essential Experience and Candidate attributes required:
- Recognised Mechanical Engineering or Machining Apprenticeship.
- Proven experience working as a CNC Machinist in a precision engineering environment working to tight tolerances.
- Experience Programming, Setting and Operating 3 & 4 axis CNC Machinery.
- Experience reading engineering drawings and CAD models.
- Experience working to tight tolerances.
- The ability to work accurately with an excellent eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to work as part of a team and under your own initiative.
- A reliable, positive and motivated attitude.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience using Fanuc controls and CAD/CAM software would be highly advantageous.
