As a Computer Studies Teacher, you will play an important role in equipping students with essential computing knowledge and digital skills. This is a fantastic opportunity for an educator who enjoys bringing technology to life in the classroom and inspiring young people to explore subjects such as programming, computer systems, and digital innovation.
Computer Studies Teacher Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging Computer Studies lessons in line with the national curriculum

Teach computing and related topics across Key Stages 3, 4 & 5

Develop students’ understanding of programming, digital literacy, and computer systems

Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback

Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of learners with varying abilities

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning

Promote high standards of behaviour and student engagement

Contribute to departmental initiatives and curriculum development
Requirements of a Computer Studies Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
-
A degree in Computer Science, Computing, Information Technology, or a related subject

Experience teaching Computer Studies or Computing in a school setting is desirable

Strong classroom management and communication skills
-
Ability to inspire curiosity and enthusiasm for technology

A professional and adaptable approach to teaching

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
