Construction Contracts Manager – Main Contractor

Our client, a successful and growing main contractor based in South Woodford, is seeking an experienced Construction Contracts Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing approximately 5–6 live construction projects at any one time, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest standards of quality. This is a key leadership role within the business and offers the opportunity to play an integral part in the company's continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple construction projects from inception through to completion
• Oversee contract administration, commercial performance and project delivery
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and in line with client expectations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and site teams
• Monitor project progress, costs and programme performance
• Identify and mitigate commercial and operational risks
• Provide leadership and support to project teams across multiple sites
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety and contractual requirements

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Construction Contracts Manager for a main contractor
• Demonstrable experience managing 5–6 live construction projects simultaneously
• Ability to perform effectively within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction contracts
• Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and project teams
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and hands-on approach
• Full UK driving licence preferred
