Salary: £460 – £650 per week (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking dependable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in schools across Doncaster.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will take responsibility for delivering pre-set lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment during teacher absences. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers, graduates, or experienced education professionals looking to develop their classroom skills and make a meaningful impact in schools.

Main Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:

• Supervise classes across a variety of subjects during teacher absences

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure learning objectives are met

• Maintain a calm, organised, and productive classroom environment

• Manage student behaviour in accordance with school policies

• Support students with their learning and encourage active participation

• Provide clear instructions and guidance throughout lessons

• Communicate any concerns or incidents to relevant members of staff

• Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere for all learners

Requirements of a Cover Supervisor:

• Experience working with young people is desirable

• Confidence in leading a classroom independently

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Ability to follow lesson plans and school procedures effectively

• A flexible, professional, and proactive attitude

• A genuine passion for education and student success

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
