A highly regarded law firm is seeking a Family Paralegal to join their established and growing Family team in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Family Paralegal looking to gain exposure to high-quality work while developing their career within a supportive and collaborative environment. The successful Family Paralegal will work closely with experienced solicitors and partners, assisting on a broad range of family law matters with a particular focus on financial remedy work.
The Family Paralegal will play an important role in supporting fee earners across a varied caseload, gaining hands-on experience in client matters, legal drafting, dispute resolution and case preparation.
You must have prior Family Law experience to be considered for this role.
The Family Paralegal's Role
The successful Family Paralegal will assist with a wide range of family law matters, supporting the team on both contentious and non-contentious work.
The Family Paralegal will be responsible for drafting legal documents and correspondence, undertaking legal research, preparing case documentation and supporting financial remedy matters. The role will also involve assisting with dispute resolution processes, including mediation and collaborative law matters, whilst maintaining excellent standards of client care.
Alongside legal work, the Family Paralegal will support business development initiatives, maintain accurate time recording and billing records, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
The Family Paralegal
The successful Family Paralegal will ideally have:
Previous experience working within a Family Law team
Strong drafting and written communication skills
Experience supporting financial remedy matters
Excellent organisational and time management abilities
The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and development
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
A professional, discreet and empathetic approach when dealing with sensitive matters
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and case management systems
