The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Lecturer in Fashion Management to join our academic team. You will contribute to high-quality teaching and learning across undergraduate provision, supporting students to develop strategic, analytical, and creative capabilities within the global fashion industry.
This role offers the opportunity to deliver across a dynamic and industry-aligned curriculum, contribute to programme development, and support students in becoming responsible leaders equipped to navigate complex global challenges.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality teaching across undergraduate modules in fashion management and strategy
• Design and deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and workshops using blended, student-centred approaches
• Contribute teaching across key subject areas, including:
o Fashion systems, culture, and industry structures
o Consumer behaviour, segmentation, and trend analysis
o Fashion merchandising, supply chains, and business operations
o Digital marketing, social media strategy, and content ecosystems
o Sustainable and responsible fashion management
• Develop and maintain up-to-date teaching materials on the Virtual Learning Environment, informed by industry trends and research
• Facilitate active learning through case studies, live briefs, and real-world application
• Design, set, assess, and moderate coursework in line with programme and awarding body requirements
• Provide timely, constructive feedback to support student development and academic success
• Support student engagement, progression, and achievement across diverse cohorts
• Act as a personal tutor, providing academic and professional guidance
• Contribute to curriculum development, programme review, and quality assurance processes
• Participate in internal moderation, standardisation, and external examiner processes
• Embed ethical, sustainable, and globally responsible practices within teaching and assessment
• Integrate digital tools, data-informed approaches, and emerging technologies (including AI) into teaching practice
• Work collaboratively across disciplines, including marketing, media, and content creation
• Engage with industry partners to support live projects, briefs, and external collaborations
• Participate in academic committees, assessment boards, and ongoing professional development
About You
Essential
• Postgraduate qualification (Master’s minimum) in Fashion Management, Fashion Business, or a related discipline
• First degree in a relevant subject area
• Experience teaching in Further or Higher Education
• Experience designing, assessing, and moderating academic assessments
• Strong understanding of the global fashion industry, including business strategy and operations
• Ability to deliver engaging, practice-based teaching linking theory to real-world application
• Experience supporting student engagement and progression within diverse cohorts
• Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining current industry knowledge
Desirable
• Doctoral-level qualification in a relevant discipline
• Industry experience within fashion, retail, or related sectors
• Experience delivering interdisciplinary teaching or working across creative and business domains
• Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
• Experience supporting live projects or industry-based learning
• Experience working with students with English as a second language
• Experience working within awarding body partnerships or quality assurance frameworks
