We are currently recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Officer to join a busy logistics and warehousing operation based in Pershore. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong compliance and safety background looking to take ownership of Health & Safety across multiple sites.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining safe working practices, ensuring legal compliance, managing training records, and supporting continuous improvement across warehouse, transport and office operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing Health & Safety documentation, training records and compliance systems
- Conducting inductions, toolbox talks and staff safety briefings
- Supporting compliance with H&S legislation, audits and industry standards
- Investigating accidents, incidents and near misses, including reporting procedures
- Writing and reviewing risk assessments, RAMS and safe systems of work
- Coordinating external contractors, servicing and maintenance activities
- Managing PPE, first aid supplies, spill kits and safety equipment
- Supporting fire safety procedures, emergency testing and evacuation planning
- Monitoring workplace safety standards across warehouse, transport and logistics operations
- Assisting with hygiene, pest control and general site compliance requirements
- Ordering and maintaining safety-related stock and supplies
- Previous experience within a Health & Safety role in transport, logistics, warehousing or manufacturing
- Good understanding of H&S legislation including COSHH, PUWER, LOLER and RIDDOR
- Confident delivering training and communicating with staff at all levels
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
- Experience completing risk assessments and incident investigations
- Good IT skills including Excel and PowerPoint
Desirable
- NEBOSH or IOSH qualification
- Experience working within audited or compliance-driven environments
- Knowledge of FORS, BRCGS or similar compliance systems
- First Aid or Fire Marshal training
