We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy Fleet Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking for an immediate start within a professional workshop environment.
The Role
As part of the Fleet Services team, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and inspecting a diverse fleet of vehicles, including:
- Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs)
- Light Commercial Vehicles
- Municipal Vehicles
- Electric and Hybrid Vehicles
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair HGVs and other fleet vehicles
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults
- Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections and safety checks
- Carry out welding, fabrication and body repair work as required
- Respond to vehicle breakdowns and repair accident-damaged vehicles
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Ensure high standards of workshop housekeeping and health & safety compliance
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 City & Guilds in Heavy Motor Vehicle Engineering (or equivalent qualification)
- Full UK Driving Licence with Category C entitlement (Essential)
- DVSA Inspection and Testing Qualification
- Previous experience maintaining and repairing HGVs and commercial vehicles
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
