Duties:
  • Conduct detailed inspections, servicing, and repairs on trailers, ensuring safety and operational standards are met
  • Accurately complete all compliance and repair documentation
  • Diagnose and resolve faults using EBS systems such as HALDEX, WABCO, and KNORR BREMSE
  • Participate in ongoing product and industry training to develop technical expertise
  • Deliver excellent customer service under tight deadlines
  • Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
  • Uphold company values and professional behaviour
  • Adapt to changing duties as directed by management
Requirements for the HGV Trailer Technician Position:
  • Proven experience with semi-trailers or heavy vehicles
  • Industry-recognised qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQs
  • HGV Class 1 driving licence
  • IRTEC accreditation
  • Experience with EBS diagnostics, including Knorr Bremse, Haldex, and WABCO systems
  • Welding certification
  • Knowledge of axle manufacturers such as BPW, SAF, or JOST
  • Training or experience with tail lifts
  • Experience with double deck or lifting deck maintenance
