Inventory Controller
Location: West Sussex
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + Benefits
Our client helps customers move products from overseas factories through international freight, customs clearance, warehousing, stock control, pick and pack, and final delivery to B2B and B2C customers. They are an e-commerce 3PL fulfilment specialist providing end-to-end logistics support for growing brands and SMEs.
With a personal, flexible and bespoke approach, They acts as an all-in-one supply chain partner, helping clients streamline fulfilment, improve customer service and scale more efficiently.
They are looking for an organised and commercially aware Inventory Controller to take ownership of stock accuracy, inventory management and replenishment activities across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, systems and processes, and understands the balance between maintaining product availability, managing working capital and supporting customer service levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage inventory levels across multiple product lines
- Maintain accurate stock records and inventory data
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
- Analyse stock movements and identify trends
- Support forecasting and replenishment planning
- Work closely with purchasing, operations and logistics partners
- Produce inventory reports and performance metrics
- Help improve inventory control processes and stock accuracy
- Assist with stock counts and audits as required
- Ensure inventory levels are aligned with business and customer requirements
- Liaise with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure stock visibility and operational efficiency
About You
- Previous experience in inventory control, stock control, supply chain, demand planning or purchasing support
- Strong understanding of the commercial realities of a 3PL operating model, including stock accuracy, service levels, storage costs, inventory turnover and customer expectations
- Ideally experienced within retail products, consumer goods, e-commerce, wholesale or distribution environments
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Confident working with spreadsheets and inventory management systems
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to prioritise tasks and manage workload effectively
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across different departments and external logistics partners
