Tutor Opportunity – IT-Focused Mentoring & Educational Support (Basingstoke)
The CatchUp Academy is currently working in partnership with Hampshire County Council to provide 1:1 support for a 16-year-old student with an EHCP who is preparing to transition into college in September.
This is an exciting opportunity for a tutor, mentor, or IT professional to support a young person who has been out of education for some time and is now looking towards a positive next step in their educational journey.
Student Profile
The student has a strong interest and aptitude in computing and technology and has already developed impressive practical skills. He runs a small business building and selling custom PCs, as well as repairing, upgrading, and maintaining computers for others. These achievements demonstrate significant maturity, independence, and technical ability.
He is due to start a college IT course in September and would also like to continue working towards Maths and English GCSEs/Functional Skills qualifications.
