Ground Source Heat Pump Installation – Residential Tower Blocks

We are currently seeking an experienced M&E Install Manager / Site Manager to oversee the installation of a Ground Source Heat Pump system across two residential tower blocks in Paisley. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing low-carbon retrofit programme and play a key role in delivering sustainable heating solutions within social housing.

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all on-site installation activities across mechanical and building services packages
  • Oversee subcontractors including groundworks, pipework, mechanical plant, controls, and commissioning teams
  • Ensure smooth coordination between trades and proactive management of project interfaces
  • Monitor programme progress and report on site performance, risks, and early warnings
  • Maintain strong health & safety standards across all site activities
  • Liaise with clients, residents, building management teams, and other stakeholders
  • Manage logistics and operational challenges associated with occupied residential tower blocks
  • Support commissioning, testing, snagging, and project handover activities
  • Assist with managing site-level variations and commercial considerations in line with contract requirements

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Install Manager, Site Manager, or M&E Site Manager within building services projects
  • Strong mechanical installation background, ideally within heat pumps, district heating, or renewable energy systems
  • Experience working within occupied residential environments or tower blocks is highly advantageous
  • SMSTS qualification essential
  • Relevant trade background and/or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
  • Strong understanding of health & safety and site management procedures
  • Knowledge of MCS standards and large-scale/domestic heat pump installations would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills
