The RoleAs a Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations, leading a team of engineers, and driving continuous improvement across a highly automated production environment.
You will be responsible for ensuring maximum equipment reliability, minimising downtime, and delivering planned maintenance activities while maintaining high health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise a team of 4 Maintenance Engineers
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities across the site
- Drive continuous improvement and TPM initiatives
- Ensure planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules are completed
- Support reactive maintenance and breakdown response activities
- Manage maintenance records and spare parts inventory
- Carry out condition-based monitoring activities
- Perform plant isolation and permit-to-work procedures safely
- Support maintenance of automated production equipment and material handling systems
- Investigate equipment failures and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and engineering standards
- Work closely with production teams to maximise plant performance and uptime
- Engineering qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or a related discipline
- Experience within a manufacturing, production, automation, FMCG, logistics, or industrial environment
- Previous supervisory, team leader, or senior engineering experience desirable
- Strong knowledge of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
- Experience with automated machinery, conveyors, material handling equipment, or production systems
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
This position would suit an experienced Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Shift Engineer, or Multi-Skilled Engineer looking to move into their first leadership role. Full support, training, and development will be provided to help you succeed.
