This is a role where you'll be involved throughout the product lifecycle, working closely with manufacturing, production and wider engineering teams to ensure designs are robust, cost-effective and ready for real-world deployment.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll play a key role in developing new products and improving existing designs, balancing performance, quality and manufacturability.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating detailed 3D designs, assemblies and manufacturing drawings

• Designing components and products with a strong focus on Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)

• Supporting products from initial concept through to production release

• Working closely with manufacturing and production teams to optimise designs and improve efficiency

• Participating in design reviews, prototyping, testing and product validation activities

• Identifying opportunities to improve product performance, reliability and cost

• Producing and maintaining engineering documentation and technical reports

• Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions

What You'll Bring

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

• Experience in mechanical product design within a manufacturing environment

• Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo or similar)

• Knowledge of Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles

• Experience creating detailed engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation

• Understanding of fabrication, machining, sheet metal, plastics or electro-mechanical assemblies

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative engineering team
