Our NW based client is currently looking to recruit an Analytical Method Development Team Leader to perform complex method development and validation using HPLC / UPLC-MS, SFC, GC-MS on a variety of compounds and molecules. This is a hands-on role and would suit someone who enjoys developing novel methods from first principles
Additional duties for this role will include :
- Leading a team of Analytical Chemists, assisting with ongoing project work when required
- Instrument and method trouble-shooting , solving problems to enable analyses to be completed
- Understanding chemical structures to ultimately ensure the successful analysis of a range of large and small molecules
- Leading on a number of analytical projects, understanding requirements and defining scope of analytical projects and milestones
- Understanding / performing analyses with a range of other chromatography, spectroscopy and techniques (NMR)
- Completing detailed documentation and reports, ensuring analytical success for manufactured chemicals
- Understanding new approaches in analytical methodologies and techniques and implementing method improvements
- Training and mentoring others, leading by example on complex problem solving challenges
