Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a Mobile Air Conditioning / Electrical Engineer to deliver high‑quality maintenance services across a portfolio of commercial environments.

Job Overview

This role is responsible for delivering planned, proactive and reactive maintenance on air conditioning systems, alongside first-line electrical and switchgear support. The engineer will operate independently across multiple sites, ensuring equipment performance, safety compliance and service delivery in line with agreed service level agreements.

The position suits a self-sufficient, customer-focused engineer who takes pride in high standards of workmanship, compliance and professionalism. Regional travel is required, with participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota and occasional planned night works.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including Risk Assessments, F-Gas, Low Voltage Safe Systems of Work and COSHH
• Undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works issued via the helpdesk within relevant SLAs
• Carry out the majority of duties on air conditioning systems across commercial environments
• Provide first-line reactive electrical and switchgear maintenance support
• Participate in a minimum 1 in 4 out-of-hours call-out rota as required by the client
• Complete occasional planned night works in line with the PPM schedule
• Undertake contractor control duties, including monitoring workmanship and issuing Permits to Work
• Ensure equipment and surrounding areas are maintained to agreed company standards and performance criteria

Person Specification

• City & Guilds 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants or CITB J11 equivalent
• NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds qualification in Commercial Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems
• Full UK driving licence
• Proven experience completing air conditioning works independently
• Experience working across a range of commercial environments
• Electrical works experience (desirable)
• Willingness to travel regionally as part of the role
