Mobile Fabric Engineer – Kent (Commercial Offices)
Salary: £36,000 – £38,000 per annum
Location: Kent (Kent-only coverage)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mobile Fabric Engineer to join our team, covering commercial office properties across Kent. This is a mobile role focused primarily on commercial environments, with only occasional small residential blocks within the portfolio.

The successful candidate will be an all-round fabric engineer with strong maintenance and repair skills, capable of carrying out a wide range of building fabric works to a high standard. A carpentry qualification would be advantageous, but we are equally interested in experienced multi-skilled engineers who can demonstrate a broad range of practical abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive building fabric maintenance across commercial office sites.
  • Perform general carpentry repairs and installations.
  • Undertake basic painting and decorating, patch plastering, tiling, and flooring repairs.
  • Repair doors, locks, ironmongery, ceilings, partitions, and other building fabric elements.
  • Complete minor plumbing and general maintenance tasks where required.
  • Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
  • Accurately complete job reports and maintenance documentation.
  • Build positive relationships with clients and site occupiers.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Fabric Engineer, Handyperson, Maintenance Technician, or similar role.
  • Ideally hold a carpentry qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent), although this is not essential.
  • Strong all-round building maintenance knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
