Part-Time Transport Administrator

Are you an experienced Transport Administrator who is looking for a part-time home-based opportunity? You'll be the organisational backbone of the transport team and will be responsible for maintaining records, supporting drivers, and ensuring our fleet meets all legal and operational standards of driver transport compliance.
At Glassolutions we're looking for a Transport/Fleet Administrator to work in our Transport team, helping to deliver best-in-class standards for Transport, through creative, collaborative, timely and cost-effective working. The role will ensure that all fleet‑related activities are compliant, accurately recorded, and efficiently coordinated to support the safe and timely delivery of our products across the UK.
You'll be working as part of a small team, and the role is to be home-based, however you must live within a commutable distance of one of our sites: West Thurrock, Gotham (Notts), Elland, Dudley or Eggborough, as you'll need to occasionally travel to site for briefings with your manager.

This is a Monday to Friday role, working 4 hours per day. We can be flexible on start and finish times, so if you're looking for a role to fit around school hours, this could be the one! We are offering a generous salary, plus bonus, pension and many other benefits including healthcare options.
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in a transport, logistics or fleet administration role
- Strong understanding of transport compliance, including driver hours and Operating licence requirements.
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Third party supplier management experience
- CPC certification would be desirable
What you will be doing:
- Monitor the telematics system and analyse fuel/vehicle options to aid sustainability commitments
- Minimise internal transport lead-times and ensure internal service levels 100% OTIF, improving vehicle optimisation and productivity
- Support the development, implementation, maintaining, and enhancement of a robust digital tracking and Proof of Delivery system
- Support and assist with the management of our internal and external logistics relationships, as well as collaborate with internal customers
- Improve vehicle optimisation and productivity
- Assist in the management for transport compliance (legal, Saint-Gobain HSE, packaging specs, despatch areas and procedure
- Ensure we adhere to our Operating licence requirements by performing and supporting audits
- Support the digital development for transport/logistics, multi-site scheduling and routing software
- Act as an ambassador for Health and Safety
