We are seeking an experienced Process Improvement Analyst to support a major business transformation and SAP S/4HANA programme.
This contract role is suited to a hands-on process improvement professional with strong experience across supply chain processes, process mapping, continuous improvement, and stakeholder-led change. The successful candidate will be confident in arranging, running, and leading workshops with business teams, capturing current-state processes, designing improved future-state ways of working, and supporting process alignment with SAP-enabled transformation.
Working across business, operations, supply chain, and technology teams, you will identify opportunities to simplify, standardise, and optimise end-to-end processes, ensuring practical improvements are clearly documented and ready for implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrange, facilitate, and lead process discovery and improvement workshops with business stakeholders.
- Map current-state and future-state business processes across supply chain and related operational areas.
- Analyse existing ways of working to identify inefficiencies, process gaps, duplication, and improvement opportunities.
- Support SAP S/4HANA design, implementation, and business readiness activities from a process perspective.
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, validate process designs, and agree on future ways of working.
- Apply Continuous Improvement, Lean, Lean Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence methods to drive practical process improvements.
- Produce clear process documentation, workflows, SOPs, business process maps, and supporting materials.
- Work with cross-functional teams across supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, finance, and technology.
- Assess business impacts of process changes and support the adoption of new processes.
- Ensure process governance, standards, and best practices are applied throughout the programme lifecycle.
Required Experience
- Proven experience as a Process Improvement Analyst, Business Process Analyst, Continuous Improvement Analyst, or similar.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, such as planning, procurement, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, inventory, order management, or fulfilment.
- Demonstrable experience arranging, running, and leading workshops with business stakeholders.
- Strong process mapping experience, including current-state and future-state mapping.
- Experience using BPMN, SIPOC, value stream mapping, swimlane diagrams, or equivalent process mapping techniques.
- Good understanding of SAP, ideally SAP S/4HANA, gained through ERP transformation, process design, or business change programmes.
- Experience identifying process improvement opportunities and turning them into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage users, SMEs, process owners, and senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced contract or project environment.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Experience
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent Continuous Improvement certification.
- Experience with process modelling or BPM tools.
- Previous experience supporting SAP S/4HANA or large-scale ERP transformation programmes.
- Experience working in supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, retail, FMCG, distribution, or shared services environments.
- Experience supporting global or multi-site transformation programmes.
- Knowledge of change impact assessment, business readiness, or operating model design.
Candidate Profile
The ideal contractor will be a practical, delivery-focused process improvement specialist who can quickly understand complex supply chain processes, engage stakeholders, and translate workshop outputs into clear process maps and improvement plans.
You will be confident leading conversations with business teams, challenging existing ways of working, and supporting the design of improved processes aligned to SAP S/4HANA transformation objectives.
This role requires someone who can combine strong process-mapping capability, continuous-improvement thinking, SAP expertise, and excellent workshop facilitation skills to deliver tangible business value in a contract environment.
