An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Project Architect or (MCIIAT Architectural Technologist) to join a well-established and highly regarded architectural practice based in Leeds city centre.

The practice has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality, sustainable, and design-led projects across a diverse range of sectors. With a strong pipeline of work and continued growth, they are seeking a talented individual who is eager to take ownership of projects and develop their career within a collaborative and supportive environment.

This role would suit a motivated Project Architect who is looking to play a key role in the delivery of significant residential and mixed-use developments, while working towards future Senior and Associate-level responsibilities.

The Opportunity

You will be involved in the delivery of high-value, multi-storey residential and mixed-use projects from planning through to construction. Working closely with colleagues, clients, consultants and contractors, you will help coordinate project teams, manage technical delivery, and ensure the successful progression of schemes through all project stages.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take increasing responsibility for project leadership, client management and team mentoring as they progress within the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality technical drawings, models and project documentation using Revit (and AutoCAD where required).
  • Prepare and coordinate planning, technical design and construction information packages.
  • Lead and coordinate project delivery alongside consultants, contractors and wider design teams.
  • Monitor project quality, programme and drawing coordination throughout all stages.
  • Manage project administration and ensure compliance with current building regulations, health and safety requirements and relevant legislation.
  • Attend and contribute to client, design team and site meetings.
  • Liaise with planning authorities, building control bodies and external stakeholders.
  • Support the design development process and contribute to innovative project solutions.
  • Assist in mentoring junior team members as your responsibilities develop.

About You

  • Qualified Architect (ARB registered preferred) or experienced Chartered Architectural Technologist
  • Approximately 3–5+ years' experience within a UK architectural practice.
  • Strong Revit proficiency is essential.
  • AutoCAD experience would be advantageous.
  • Proven experience producing planning applications, technical packages and construction information.
  • Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction methodologies.
  • Experience working on residential, mixed-use or large-scale developments would be highly beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ambitious, proactive and keen to progress into a Senior or Associate-level position in the future.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
