Quality Inspector

Position: Quality Inspector (Sheet Metal & Precision Engineering)
Location: Reading
Salary: Circa £32k DOE (reviewed after 6 months)
Hours: 4 day week: Monday - Thursday (07:00 - 16:45)

Bennett & Game Recruitment are currently working with a respected Sheet Metal and Precision Engineering business seeking a Quality Inspector to join their Reading based team.

This role would suit an experienced inspector with knowledge of sheet metal and/or machined components. Aerospace experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

• Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections.
• Produce First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
• Inspect components against engineering drawings and specifications.
• Use a range of measuring equipment to verify product quality.
• Maintain inspection records and quality documentation.
• Support production teams in maintaining quality standards.
• Assist with non-conformance investigations when required.

• Previous experience in a Quality Inspector or similar position.
• Knowledge of sheet metal and/or machined part inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience producing FAIR documentation.
• Good computer literacy skills.
• CMM knowledge would be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and quality-focused approach.

• Salary circa £32,000.
• Six-month salary review.
• Monday to Thursday, 07:00 - 16:45.
• 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
