The Opportunity
We’re working with a growing and forward-thinking organisation looking to bring in an experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) to support the commercial delivery of projects across their portfolio.
This role is ideal for someone who is commercially driven and enjoys working in a fast-paced, project-focused environment.
You’ll be supporting the commercial team across a range of post-contract activities within generator installation projects across the construction sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered commercially successfully, working closely with both operational and commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project costs through to final account.
- Prepare, review, and agree valuations, applications, and variations.
- Support procurement activities, including subcontractor negotiation and appointment.
- Monitor cost performance and provide accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure contractual compliance across projects.
- Work closely with operational teams to maximise project value.
- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
- Assist with dispute resolution and final account negotiations.
The Person
- Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor or similar commercial role
- Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (essential)
- Strong understanding of construction contracts (e.g. NEC, JCT)
- Experience working on M&E or generator / infrastructure projects (desirable)
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
