Salary: £31625- £51048 per annum (dependent on experience)

GSL Education Hull is seeking a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teacher to join a supportive specialist provision in Hull. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who is passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and helping them achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will work with students who may present with challenging behaviour, emotional regulation difficulties, trauma-related needs, or barriers to learning. You will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
SEMH Teacher Responsibilities:-
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.

Develop positive relationships with students, promoting trust, confidence, and resilience.

Support students in managing their emotions and behaviours through consistent and restorative approaches.

Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting effectively.

Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, parents/carers, and external agencies.

Contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Behaviour Support Plans, and EHCP outcomes.

Promote a culture of high expectations, inclusion, and achievement.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or equivalent teaching qualification.

Experience working with students with SEMH, SEND, behavioural needs, or within alternative provision settings.

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
