What will you be doing?
·Leading mechanical engineering activities across Concept, FEED and EPC project phases
·Managing the delivery of mechanical design packages covering machinery, pressure vessels and packaged equipment
·Preparing technical specifications and reviewing supplier quotations and vendor documentation
·Carrying out site surveys, developing design solutions and supporting project estimates
·Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget
·Providing technical leadership and mentoring to engineers and designers
·Ensuring all mechanical engineering activities comply with contractual requirements and the highest HSE standards
·Building strong relationships with clients and technology partners throughout project execution
Where will you be doing it?
You'll be joining an established, employee-owned engineering organisation that delivers projects across a variety of highly regulated and innovative sectors. Their work spans traditional process industries alongside emerging technologies, offering the opportunity to contribute to projects involving chemicals, biotechnology, hydrogen and other advanced industrial applications.
What you'll need:
·Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
·Significant experience delivering mechanical engineering projects within engineering consultancy, EPC or contracting environments
·Experience leading teams of engineers and designers on complex projects
·Strong technical knowledge covering mechanical equipment, pressure vessels, packaged equipment and associated systems
·Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience working directly with clients and stakeholders
·A practical, hands-on approach to engineering problem solving
·The ability to work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary teams
Desirable experience:
·Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership
·Experience during fabrication, construction or commissioning phases
·Background working within process plant, hydrogen, chemicals, biotech or emerging technology sectors
·Design management experience
