Are you an experienced Cost Consultant looking to take the next step in your career with a forward-thinking construction consultancy?
My client is a highly respected and growing consultancy with an outstanding reputation in the residential development sector. Due to continued success and a strong project pipeline, they are seeking a Senior Cost Consultant to join their London team and play a key role in delivering some of the UK's most exciting residential schemes.
Working on projects ranging from £20m to £150m, you'll be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, leading cost management services from early-stage feasibility and cost planning through to procurement, contract administration and final account.
The Role
- Lead day-to-day cost management services across multiple residential developments.
- Deliver both pre- and post-contract quantity surveying and cost consultancy services.
- Prepare cost plans, procurement strategies, tender documentation and contract advice.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while ensuring successful project outcomes.
- Support and mentor junior team members, helping to develop the next generation of consultants.
- Work closely with Directors and Associate Directors on major commissions.
- Contribute to the adoption of digital and data-driven approaches to cost management and project delivery.
About You
- Proven experience within the UK construction and real estate sector.
- Strong technical expertise across cost planning, procurement and post-contract cost management.
- MRICS qualified preferred, although candidates with other relevant qualifications and strong experience will also be considered.
- Sound commercial awareness with a strong understanding of residential development costs and value drivers.
- Experience managing projects independently and leading client-facing commissions.
- Ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and quality.
- Passionate about the construction industry and committed to delivering exceptional client service.
- An interest in innovation, technology and data-led solutions within the built environment.
