Shipping Coordinator

As a Shipping Coordinator, you will be at the heart of our clients Warehouse & Supply Chain Management function, responsible for managing all aspects of shipping logistics—from building and maintaining shipment documentation to liaising with port authorities and operational planners.
This initial 12-month contract ( highly likely to be extended), based in Great Yarmouth, offers a Monday to Friday schedule with occasional on-call responsibilities.
What You’ll Bring:
- Proficient computer skills, especially with the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel
- Strong organizational, planning, and numeric abilities with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable engaging with multiple stakeholders
- Solutions-driven mindset to efficiently manage complex shipping schedules and documentation
- Forklift license (highly desirable)
- Full UK driving license
- Training/certification in Dangerous Goods transportation by Road, Air & Sea
Preferred Experience & Education:
- Experience in shipping coordination, logistics, or warehouse operations is highly advantageous
- Background involving operational safety compliance and quality assurance checks
- Familiarity with SAP or other inventory and shipping management systems preferred
- Previous experience in HSE roles, permit control, or site induction coordination a plus
- Ability to be on call occasionally during evenings or weekends
- Commitment to maintaining rigorous health, safety, and environmental standards
- Capacity to perform site inductions and carry out safety-related tasks as required
