We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Speech and Language Therapist to join a specialist SEN school in Twickenham. Serving both primary and secondary-aged pupils, this is a school where every member of staff plays a vital role in transforming the lives of young people with complex and diverse needs.

About the Role:

Working across both the primary and secondary sites, you will provide high-quality speech and language therapy support to pupils with a range of communication needs. Your role will be varied and impactful, balancing whole-class delivery with targeted individual intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver engaging whole-class speech and language sessions across primary and secondary SEN settings
- Carry out detailed assessments of pupils' communication, language and interaction needs
- Write clear, accurate, and pupil-centred reports to inform EHCP reviews, progress tracking and wider MDT planning
- Deliver specialist 1:1 interventions where appropriate, tailored to individual pupil profiles and targets
- Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCOs, teaching assistants and external professionals
- Provide guidance and training to school staff to embed communication strategies across the curriculum
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with professional and school standards
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety and school-specific policies at all times

About You:

- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration (essential)
- Experience working with children and young people with SEND, including complex communication needs
- Confident in delivering both group/whole-class sessions and specialist 1:1 interventions
- Strong assessment and report writing skills
- Experience working within an educational or SEN setting (desirable)
- Collaborative, patient and pupil-focused approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well being of all pupils
