🔧 Station Procurement Engineer - Heysham (Morecambe Bay) | Contract Opportunity

I'm currently supporting a major UK energy organisation in the search for a Station Procurement Engineer to join their team on a maternity cover contract running until the end of 2026, with a possibility of extension beyond this date.

📍 Location: Heysham, Morecambe Bay (Fully Site Based)

💰 Rate: Up to £24.64 per hour PAYE or £32.54 per hour Umbrella (DOE)

📅 Contract: Until end of 2026 initially, with potential extension

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong technical background who enjoys combining engineering expertise with procurement and supply chain activities. You'll play a key role in ensuring critical station components and spare parts remain fit for purpose and aligned with original design intent.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Specify and evaluate engineering spares and components against original design requirements

✅ Support supply chain and materials teams with technical procurement activities

✅ Prioritise material requirements for both planned and emergent work scopes

✅ Review and develop quality documentation relating to procurement and repairs

✅ Support engineering change processes and component equivalency assessments

✅ Drive continuous improvement across procurement engineering processes and documentation

What We're Looking For:

✔ HNC, HND or Degree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical or C&I Engineering

✔ Strong engineering judgement and technical problem-solving ability

✔ Experience within highly regulated industries such as nuclear, power generation, defence, oil & gas, petrochemical or similar environments would be advantageous

✔ Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and suppliers
