Madison Reign is currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in the London Borough of Waltham Forest.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Youth Worker, Graduate, or aspiring teacher looking to gain valuable school-based experience within a supportive secondary school environment.

The Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students across KS3 and KS4, providing classroom support and helping students achieve their full academic and personal potential.

You will support students both in class and through small group interventions, helping to create a positive, engaging and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Supporting students across a range of subjects

✔ Providing 1:1 and small group support where required

✔ Assisting students with SEND, SEMH and additional learning needs

✔ Supporting classroom behaviour and student engagement

✔ Helping teachers prepare resources and learning materials

✔ Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff

✔ Promoting positive behaviour, attendance and wellbeing

✔ Supporting safeguarding and pastoral initiatives across the school

Requirements:

✔ Previous experience working with children or young people preferred

✔ Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Behaviour Mentor, Youth Worker or Support Worker desirable

✔ Strong communication and interpersonal skills

✔ Positive, patient and resilient attitude

✔ Passion for education and supporting young people

✔ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service required or willingness to obtain one
