Role Information
Start Date: September 2026
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay: £92.63 – £95 per day
Location: The Vale of Glamorgan
Teaching Personnel is currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to work within a Key Stage 1 (KS1) classroom for September.
This role plays a crucial part in supporting children with their learning and development. You will help pupils stay focused on their work, assist the teacher in maintaining a positive classroom environment, and support the overall running of the class. There may be some children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), meaning some 1:1 support may also be required.
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils' academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to support the class.
- Work closely with the class teacher to ensure every child feels included and confident in their learning.

- Confident working on a 1:1 basis with pupils.
- Empathetic and compassionate.
- Able to commit to a full-time Monday – Friday position.
- Experienced working within KS1.
Requirements
To apply for this role, you will need:
- An Enhanced Child DBS.
- A live EWC registration.
- At least 3 months' experience working within a school setting or a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification.
