Our client is seeking a talented and motivated Town Planner to join their growing team. The Role

As a Town Planner, you will play a key role in delivering planning advice and managing projects from inception through to determination. You will work closely with clients, local authorities, consultants, and stakeholders, helping to secure planning permissions and achieve successful development outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals, and supporting documentation.
  • Undertaking planning policy and site appraisal assessments.
  • Providing strategic planning advice to clients.
  • Managing projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
  • Liaising with local authorities, consultees, and stakeholders.
  • Preparing planning statements and reports.
  • Attending client meetings, public consultations, and planning committees where required.
  • Monitoring changes in planning legislation and policy.


About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
  • MRTPI qualification or be working towards chartered status.
  • Previous experience within a consultancy, local authority, or development environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and planning policy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organisational abilities.
  • A proactive and commercial approach to problem-solving.
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred).
