Warehouse Shift Manager

Location: Rugby
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum DOE
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Omnia Resourcing is excited to be supporting the launch of a new distribution operation in Rugby and is seeking an experienced Warehouse Shift Manager to help drive performance, engagement, and operational excellence from day one.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on warehouse leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys developing teams, improving processes, and delivering outstanding results.

• 06:00 - 14:00 OR 14:00 - 22:00
• 5 out of 6 shifts per week (excluding Sunday)
• Permanent position

As Warehouse Shift Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day running of your shift, ensuring the warehouse operates safely, efficiently, and in line with customer expectations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and supporting warehouse colleagues across your shift.
• Driving productivity, quality, and operational performance.
• Ensuring goods are received, stored, and dispatched accurately.
• Monitoring workflow and adjusting resources to meet changing priorities.
• Creating a positive and engaged team culture.
• Supporting employee development through coaching and training.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping.
• Investigating operational issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Producing shift reports and communicating key updates to stakeholders.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.

• Previous experience managing teams within a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop others.
• Experience working to operational KPIs and service targets.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Confidence using warehouse systems and Microsoft Office packages.
• Forklift certification would be advantageous but is not essential.
