Accounts Administrator Freight Accounts Coordinator

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to utilise their accounts experience within a dynamic business where freight or logistics experience would be highly advantageous.
Working as part of a supportive finance team, you will take ownership of a broad range of accounts duties, with a particular focus on purchase ledger, sales ledger and the accurate processing of freight-related invoices and costs.
This role would suit someone with strong all-round accounts experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking for a long-term opportunity with a stable and successful company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing high volumes of purchase ledger invoices, including freight and shipping costs
- Raising sales invoices and supporting credit control activities
- Reconciling supplier, customer and freight accounts
- Matching invoices against shipments, rates and supporting documentation
- Investigating and resolving invoice queries and discrepancies
- Assisting with month-end processes and reporting
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
- Providing general administrative support to the finance team as required
- Previous experience within an Accounts Administrator, Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
- Ideally experience working within the freight, logistics, shipping or supply chain sector
- Strong understanding of purchase ledger, sales ledger and account reconciliations
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills with a proactive and positive approach
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Location: Sunbury upon Thames
Hours: Full-time, office based
