Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 14, 2026
1. Who We Are
YourJobs.co.uk ("we", "us", "our") operates yourjobs.co.uk, a UK jobs aggregator. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
2. Information We Collect
We try to collect as little personal data as possible.
Information you provide:
- Search queries — job titles and locations you search for, used in aggregate to surface popular searches.
Information collected automatically:
- Usage data — pages visited and search terms (anonymous).
- IP address — stored only as a one-way SHA-256 hash for fraud prevention; we do not retain raw IP addresses.
- Cookies — see the Cookies section below.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To display relevant job listings and search results.
- To analyse anonymous site usage and improve the service.
- To detect and prevent abuse.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (UK GDPR)
- Consent — for non-essential cookies.
- Legitimate interest — for site analytics and fraud prevention.
5. Third-Party Services
- CV-Library and partner networks — when you click "Apply", you are redirected to the source listing (typically CV-Library) who fulfil the application. The destination has its own privacy policy; CV-Library's is at cv-library.co.uk/privacy-policy.
- Google Analytics / AdSense — not currently active on this site. If we add them in future we will display a cookie consent banner first, and this policy will be updated.
6. Cookies
This site currently uses only essential cookies — specifically a PHP session cookie (PHPSESSID) used to track campaign source for our affiliate links. No advertising, analytics or tracking cookies are set. Because we set no consent-required cookies, we don't display a cookie banner.
If we ever add tracking cookies (Google Analytics, AdSense, Meta Pixel etc.) we will deploy a consent banner first and update this policy. You'll see the banner on your first visit after that change.
7. Data Retention
- Search logs: 90 days, then deleted.
- IP hashes: 30 days, then deleted.
8. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Contact [email protected].
9. Data Security
HTTPS for all traffic, hashed storage of IP addresses, regular security review.
10. Children's Privacy
This service is not directed at individuals under 16.
11. Changes
We will post any updates to this policy on this page.
