About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Team Lead to provide clinical leadership within our ADHD Service. Working closely with the Clinical Manager, Clinical Lead and Service Manager, you will support the safe, effective and high-quality delivery of care while leading and developing a multidisciplinary clinical team.
As an experienced advanced practitioner and independent prescriber, you will combine clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities, supporting team performance, governance activities and service development whilst maintaining a clinical caseload.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership and support to the clinical team.
- Lead recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal and performance management activities.
- Promote team wellbeing, professional development and high standards of clinical practice.
- Support clinical governance, audit, incident management and quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to service development, pathway improvement and multidisciplinary working.
- Maintain a clinical caseload within your scope of competence.
- Conduct medication reviews and support safe prescribing practices.
- Deputise for the Clinical Manager when required.
About You
Essential
- Registered healthcare professional (NMC, GPhC or equivalent) with current professional registration.
- Significant post-registration experience as an advanced practitioner with a demonstrable track record of autonomous clinical practice.
- MSc in Advanced Practice or equivalent pathway.
- Substantial experience as an independent prescriber.
- Experience leading or managing a clinical team, including supervision, appraisal, recruitment and performance management.
- Experience managing clinical rotas, capacity and operational workflow.
- Knowledge of professional, regulatory and clinical governance frameworks.
- Knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities relevant to the all-age population.
- Ability to meet the requirements for an enhanced DBS check.
Desirable
- Experience working in a mental health, neurodevelopmental or long-term conditions service.
- Familiarity with NICE NG87 or ADHD care pathways.
- Experience working within or alongside primary care.
- Experience contributing to service development, pathway design or change management.
- Teaching or mentoring qualification.
- Knowledge of ADHD research and guidance relevant to adult ADHD.
