Adult Learning Disability Support Worker – Abergavenny, Wales

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated support workers to join a dynamic social care team in Abergavenny. Based in Abergavenny, Wales, the position involves providing personalised care, supporting residents with complex needs such as Autism, and promoting their independence with dignity and compassion. Whether you are seeking a temporary placement or a long-term career path, this role provides flexible shifts—including days, nights, sleeps, and short or long shifts—and offers ongoing professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapeutic and person-centred care to individuals with learning disabilities
- Observe, monitor, and accurately record residents’ conditions
- Assist individuals through their care pathways to foster independence
- Uphold dignity, privacy, and respect at all times
- Collaborate with multi-professional teams to ensure tailored support
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a social care environment
- Empathetic, resilient, and caring nature
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS clearance on the update service, applicable to both children and adults
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
- Willingness to complete required practical training (PBM, Manual Handling, Buccal) and online training at no cost
