Adult Social Care Solicitor
Location: Cheshire (Remote Working)
Contract: 29 Hours Per Week | 3-5 months rolling | Part time
Umbrella Rate: £55.00 - £60.00 per hour
PAYE (inc.Hol): £48.60 - £52.95 per hour
Responsibilities as an Adult Social Care Solicitor:
- Manage a varied caseload of Adult Social Care matters on behalf of the Local Authority.
- Provide specialist legal advice on issues relating to the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Mental Health Act 1983, safeguarding, and human rights.
- Draft and review legal documentation, applications, witness statements, pleadings, and court bundles.
- Represent the Local Authority at hearings, meetings, and case conferences where required.
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive with a current practising certificate.
- Previous experience managing Adult Social Care matters within a Local Authority is essential.
- Strong working knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Court of Protection procedures, and safeguarding legislation.
- Ability to work independently and manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication, drafting, and stakeholder management skills.
