Are you an energetic, sporty Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)? We are working with a welcoming and supportive school in Caerphilly seeking a confident and proactive TA to join their team this September.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on role and can use sport and physical activity to engage pupils, build strong relationships, and support positive behaviour.
The Role:
Supporting pupils with a range of ALN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs
Using sport, movement, and practical activities to encourage engagement and participation
Assisting the class teacher with delivering tailored learning and targeted interventions
Promoting positive behaviour strategies and supporting emotional regulation
Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils who may present with challenging behaviour
We're Looking For:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within an ALN/SEN setting
A sporty, energetic personality who can bring enthusiasm into the classroom
Strong behaviour management skills and resilience
A proactive, adaptable approach with a willingness to get involved
A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed
