Approved / Senior Domestic Electrician

Specialising in high-quality domestic electrical work across the South East, our client prides themselves on impeccable workmanship, respect for their tradespeople, and realistic, sensible workloads.

Due to continued expansion, they are now seeking an exceptional, forward-thinking Approved Electrician to join them as a senior salaried hire. This is a rare opportunity to set company standards from day one and move quickly into a team management position.

The Role

In this position, you will balance high-end domestic installations and testing with client relationship management, acting as the senior anchor for field operations.

• Working Pattern: You will start and finish your working day at the Sandhurst office premises. The company van is kept strictly on-site overnight and is reserved for business operations only (no personal use).
• Leadership & Progression: You will oversee field standards, mentor apprentices, and step up to manage a team of electricians as the department expands.
• Technology: You will comfortably utilise up-to-date cloud software and job management systems to track projects, manage customer files, and issue digital paperwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete domestic installations, consumer unit upgrades, and new circuits.
• Carry out electrical testing, inspections (EICR), and remedial works.
• Install EV charge points, managing OZEV workflows and DNO notifications.
• Execute high-end indoor and outdoor LED lighting design projects.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients to uphold the company's clean and professional reputation.
• Complete digital certification and update job management software accurately in real-time.
• Support, mentor, and monitor apprentices and junior electricians as the team grows.

What We Are Looking For

• Qualifications: Fully qualified electrician holding an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Status: Approved Electrician capability with a natural aptitude for leadership and management.
• Regulations: 18th Edition (BS 7671) with proven Inspection & Testing experience.
• Experience: A deep, high-quality background in domestic installation settings.
• Tech Savvy: Completely comfortable using modern digital apps and tablet-based software.
• Soft Skills: Immaculate presentation, polite manners, and exceptional customer service skills.
• Licence: Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
