We are recruiting for an Area Cleaning Manager to oversee a portfolio of approximately 15 sites across Kent, with a particular focus on the Maidstone and Dartford areas. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager who enjoys building strong client relationships, leading teams, and driving service excellence.

Reporting directly to senior management, you will have full responsibility for service delivery, client satisfaction, and team performance across a varied portfolio of contracts.

Due to continued growth and the successful acquisition of new contracts, they are now looking to strengthen their management team with the appointment of an Area Cleaning Manager covering Kent.

• Basic salary of up to £35,000

• Company car or car allowance

• Managing a portfolio of approximately 15 sites across Kent

• Predominantly covering Dartford, Sittingbourne, and surrounding areas

• Supportive and approachable senior management team

• Full responsibility for contract performance, ensuring SLA and KPI targets are consistently achieved

• Building and maintaining strong client relationships across your portfolio

• Managing cleaning teams and supervisors to ensure exceptional service delivery

• Conducting regular site visits, audits, and quality inspections

• Recruiting, training, developing, and retaining cleaning operatives

• Managing labour budgets, rotas, and operational performance

• Handling client queries and resolving issues promptly and professionally

• Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety requirements

• Supporting the mobilisation of new contracts as the business continues to grow

• Working closely with senior management to identify opportunities for continuous improvement

• Previous experience managing multiple cleaning contracts within a commercial environment

• Strong leadership and people management skills

• Excellent client relationship management experience

• Organised, proactive, and capable of managing a geographically spread portfolio

• Strong understanding of service delivery, KPIs, and operational performance

• Full UK driving licence

• Must live within Kent to effectively manage the portfolio

• Passion for delivering high standards and developing successful teams

Kent (Dartford, Sittingbourne and surrounding areas)

Applicants must be based within Kent due to the nature of the role and regular travel between sites.
