Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Composite Doors & Fabricated Door Systems
Location / Territory
North Yorkshire to Scotland (field-based role with extensive regional travel)
Overview
This is a field-based Area Sales Manager position responsible for developing and managing sales across a well-established and growing territory. The role focuses on selling into fabricators, composite door manufacturers, and specialist door producers, providing technical solutions and long-term account growth.
The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding market share, strengthening existing relationships, and driving new business within the fenestration and door manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop sales across the North Yorkshire to Scotland region
- Build and maintain strong relationships with fabricators, composite door manufacturers, and trade customers
- Identify, target, and win new business opportunities within the sector
- Develop and grow existing accounts through regular contact and account planning
- Provide technical product support and assist customers with specification requirements
- Work closely with internal teams including estimating, customer service, and production to ensure smooth order progression
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities
- Achieve agreed sales targets, margin objectives, and KPIs
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and territory planning
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in an Area Sales Manager or field-based technical sales role
- Strong background in fenestration, doors, windows, building products, or fabrication
- Experience selling into fabricators or manufacturers is highly desirable
- Strong technical understanding of composite door systems or related products advantageous
- Confident managing a large geographical territory autonomously
- Strong commercial awareness with a consultative sales approach
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-driven, organised, and target-focused
- Full UK driving licence required
