Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Composite Doors & Fabricated Door Systems

Location / Territory

North Yorkshire to Scotland (field-based role with extensive regional travel)

Overview

This is a field-based Area Sales Manager position responsible for developing and managing sales across a well-established and growing territory. The role focuses on selling into fabricators, composite door manufacturers, and specialist door producers, providing technical solutions and long-term account growth.

The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding market share, strengthening existing relationships, and driving new business within the fenestration and door manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop sales across the North Yorkshire to Scotland region
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with fabricators, composite door manufacturers, and trade customers
  • Identify, target, and win new business opportunities within the sector
  • Develop and grow existing accounts through regular contact and account planning
  • Provide technical product support and assist customers with specification requirements
  • Work closely with internal teams including estimating, customer service, and production to ensure smooth order progression
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities
  • Achieve agreed sales targets, margin objectives, and KPIs
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and territory planning

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in an Area Sales Manager or field-based technical sales role
  • Strong background in fenestration, doors, windows, building products, or fabrication
  • Experience selling into fabricators or manufacturers is highly desirable
  • Strong technical understanding of composite door systems or related products advantageous
  • Confident managing a large geographical territory autonomously
  • Strong commercial awareness with a consultative sales approach
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-driven, organised, and target-focused
  • Full UK driving licence required
